Regarding your concern about downloading Skype, you now can download the application if you are using Android OS 4.0.3 or higher versions. Trust me, all of the "allow notifications" settings are turned on wherever they can be found.ġ) We appreciate your feedback about the new Skype version for mobile devices. Now there is nothing there to say that Skype is running or that Skype is Online etc. Give me a break! Why force an upgrade on devices that don't have the systems to run it?Ģ) A major problem is the missing Skype status notification on the Notification bar (top Left). (Android System Requirements), it says you must have OS v6.0 or 7.0 for Skype to run properly!! Here are the issues:ġ) When I looked at the System Requirements Having allowed the "upgrade", there are problems. However, recently, we were FORCED to accept a Skype so-called "upgrade" - since if we did not accept it, Skype would just log out. Two Android Tablets in the family, both running Android v4.4.4 (Kitkat), previously able to run Skype. We were able to dodge previous Skype upgrades (or, rather, reverse previous forced Skype upgrades when those versions would not run properly on our tablets). Inbelievable frustration with Skype for Android.
